USGTF Northeast Region director John Savage has announced his retirement as region director effective April 1. Savage has been instrumental in the growth of the region throughout the years, and is also a longtime USGTF member and examiner. The USGTF would like to extend its thanks to John for all his work promoting the game of golf and the USGTF.

As a result, a new director will be needed for the region. The director is responsible for organizing and holding an annual tournament and meeting. The position is a voluntary one. Those living in Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, New York, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland, Delaware, Virginia, West Virginia, and Ohio are eligible.
